Built on sturdy beams to allow the completed station to be moved close to it's original position at a future date.

The reconstruction of the Sullivan Station in fron of teh Sullivan Car Barn and the original Station. When completed, the reconstructed station will be painted in the original colours.
Painted in primer, the main columns for the shelter are in place. Following the original drawings the graceful curves of the mainsupports are quite visible.
It's a long way up to attach the main beams. Construction work on site in December.

The original Sullivan Station looks a bit tired.
The original Station saw a second life as a chicken coop. The metal roof and replaced windows were added later. The original shingle siding shows up in the sunlight.
The original Sullivan Station sits in the December sunshine while the new one gets it own roof.
The temporary braces will be repalced with benches, just like the original station.

Part of the outside seating area is done, siding is preped.
